Recently, the football club "Zamalek" appealed to the Egyptian Football Association with a request for the appointment of a foreign expert as the chairman of the referees committee in order to prevent serious errors by referees in the league, condemning the decisions made by local referees during the matches of the team.
In the official statement of the club "Zamalek," it was emphasized that the club's management closely monitors serious errors by referees in the current season of the Egyptian league, which directly affect the outcomes of matches and highlight the poor quality of refereeing since the start of the season.
"We would like to remind the responsible persons in Egyptian football about the promises made by them at the beginning of the current season and to inform them about the presence of a real crisis in refereeing since the beginning of the season," the statement says.
"We have reached an agreement with the participation of all league clubs, the president of the football association, and the president of the Union of Clubs, regarding the appointment of the chairman of the refereeing committee to a foreign expert, but so far this has not happened without explanation, causing the crises of "Zamalek", which arise from serious mistakes aimed at excluding the club from the competition."
"Zamalek" demands the urgent hiring of a foreign expert for the management of Egyptian refereeing in order to save the remaining part of the season, indications of refereeing errors, and their removal from matches, as well as an assessment of all referees responsible for officiating matches.
"Our club is the largest sports entity in Egypt, with millions of fans worldwide... This statement will become a boundary between justice and injustice, and if all principles of justice are not adhered to, we will take a different position, as we honor and respect the fans of "Zamalek" and other teams suffering from this system, which only considers one club," the statement concluded.
Currently, "Zamalek" is in second place in the championship table after ten rounds with 20 points, remaining just one point behind the club "Pyramids," which occupies the first place.
