Two Egyptian sources in the field of security stated on Friday that an Israeli delegation in Cairo is striving to achieve a long-term truce between Palestine and Israel. A group of military and political representatives arrived in the Egyptian capital on Thursday for negotiations with representatives of HAMAS.
According to one of the sources, during the meeting, a multitude of issues concerning the situation in the Gaza Strip were discussed. He emphasized that both sides are striving to achieve a stable truce and ensure welfare for the residents of the region.
Another interlocutor clarified that the Israeli delegation presented several initiatives aimed at improving the humanitarian situation in the Gaza sector. He also reported on the desire of both sides to continue negotiations in the coming days to seek constructive solutions.
"We hope that this common agreement will become the basis for a sustainable truce and ensure a long-term peace between Palestine and Israel," added one of the representatives of the delegation.
