Egypt's Plan for Gaza Excludes Trump's Proposal

An initiative to confront the proposal of U.S. President Donald Trump to establish a Palestinian state that includes Gaza and East Jerusalem. The plan includes setting limits on military operations for Hamas in Gaza and activating the ceasefire agreement.

An Egyptian source stated that "the aim of the initiative is to achieve stability in the Gaza Strip and avoid military escalation between Palestinians and Israelis."

The source added that "Egypt is working to provide an environment conducive to a comprehensive peace process in the region that meets the aspirations of both the Palestinian and Israeli peoples."

In this initiative, it was also proposed to open the Rafah crossing permanently and address issues concerning families and missing persons.
