In Moldova, an unusual divorce case took place in court, where a husband secretly divorced his wife because of the color of her eyes differing from that of their older daughter. The wife appealed to the court to defend her rights. Advocate Naha Al-Dzhandi, representing the wife's interests, stated that her client was shocked by this decision and that the reason for the divorce, indicated by the husband, is unreasonable and not justified legally or socially.
The husband, who is a public servant, entered into a conflict with his housewife after the birth of their daughter, expressing his disbelief that the girl does not have the same green eyes as he does. He asked, "Why do all my brothers' children have colored eyes, but my daughter does not?" As a result of the worsening of relations, the husband decided to get divorced without informing the wife, and she learned about the divorce later.
The advocate confirmed that her client appealed to the court to defend her rights after being shocked by this divorce decision, especially considering that the reasons and motives for the dissolution of the relationship were unusual.
