
The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, emphasized the importance of the successful holding of the upcoming summit of the League of Arab States in Baghdad, especially in the conditions in which the Arab region currently finds itself. This requires complete unity among Arab countries.
Meeting with the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, Dr. Fuad Hussein, the President of Egypt received an invitation from the President of Iraq to participate in the work of the 34th ordinary summit of the League of Arab States and the 5th session on Economic and Social Development, which will be held in Baghdad on May 17.
During the meeting, the situations in Palestine and Syria were discussed, as well as the prospects for restoring regional stability. The sides emphasized the importance of the Palestinian issue for the Arab nation and the full resistance against the expulsion of Palestinians from their land.
