Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration Badr Abdelatty emphasized the importance of stopping the escalation of conflict in the region, especially with neighboring countries. This came during a phone call between Minister Abdelatty and his Iranian counterpart on Wednesday, according to the spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tameem Khalf. During the call, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's complete condemnation and rejection of all Iranian attacks on the Gulf states, Jordan, Iraq, as well as Turkey and Azerbaijan. He also stressed the need to work urgently to stop these attacks, respect the principle of good-neighborliness and the sovereignty of states, emphasizing that the only way to contain tensions and save the region from the danger of sliding into total chaos threatening peace and security is through the diplomatic track and the language of dialogue.
