Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Sunday that Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani ways to de-escalate in the region and end the war between Israel and the United States. "We discussed the importance of an immediate ceasefire and starting a dialogue to achieve sustainable peace," the statement said. Both sides stressed the need for diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict.
