El-Sisi Confirms Support for the Expansion of the BRICS Group of Countries

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stated at a meeting that the expansion of the BRICS group, led by Russia and China, demonstrates a commitment to supporting the 'interests of developing countries'.

Al-Sisi emphasized that the inclusion of new participants in this group will allow for a broader representation of the interests of countries not entering the circle of developing economies. According to him, this is an additional step towards strengthening cooperation between states and realizing their common strategic goals.

"BRICS" was formed in 2006. Initially, it included Brazil, Russia, India, and China. Currently, Egypt is one of the observing countries of this grouping.

"We see that in the near future 'BRICS' will invite new participants, both officials and observers, and will become the main architect for creating a new multipolar world order," said al-Sisi.
