
The press service of the President of Egypt announced a meeting between President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Barzani.
At the meeting, the issues of strengthening bilateral relations between Egypt and Iran were discussed, as well as current regional and international issues. According to the presidents, supporting stability and security in the region is in the interests of all countries.
The presidents emphasized the importance of further cooperation and coordination on key issues, including the fight against terrorism and extremism.
"We are convinced that only through common efforts and joint actions of the participating countries can we counter the challenges and threats facing our region," noted the President of Egypt.
This meeting is the first meeting of the presidents of the two countries in many years and may become a turning point for improving relations between Egypt and Iran.
