The government of Egypt has confirmed reports that have circulated in recent days about the intention to sell EgyptAir, the national airline of the country.

Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stated that information about the potential sale of EgyptAir is "false" and that there are no plans or decisions on this.

"The management of EgyptAir is working at full capacity to continue providing the best services for passengers," noted Madbouli, emphasizing the significance of the airline for the country.

It is important to note that EgyptAir, established in 1932, is the largest airline in Egypt and one of the oldest in the world. Today it serves more than 70 destinations worldwide.
