The President of Egypt Abdel Fattah as-Sisi stated on Sunday that Cairo has proposed a two-day ceasefire in the Gaza sector. According to him, this proposal was made with the aim of "restoring stability" in the region.

"We are closely monitoring the development of events, and our main desire is to preserve the lives of our Palestinian brothers. Protecting the Palestinian people is our sacred duty. We call on all sides to responsibility and restraint," as-Sisi emphasized.

According to Palestinian official sources, the Israeli army has struck around 200 targets in Gaza since the beginning of military actions. There are witnesses to the destruction and casualties in various areas of the sector.
