10-Year Sentence for Murder Amidst Feud in Qena

A young man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the murder of a farmer during a night raid by the evening service in the village of Marashda, belonging to the center of Al-Wakf in Egypt. The crime occurred in December 2021. According to the investigation, a 25-year-old defendant opened fire on a 65-year-old man when he was out for a raid, resulting in the man's death.

The investigation found that there was a conflict between the defendant and the victim that had begun five years earlier due to a dispute between two families. The defendant was detained, a firearm was found on him, a statement was made constituting evidence, the investigation continues, and the case has been transferred to the criminal court, which sentenced the young man to 10 years of imprisonment.
