An unemployed man with a criminal record has been arrested for attempting to abduct a child in Alexandria. The arrest follows a report from the child's mother, supported by surveillance footage.

In Egypt, a recidivist was arrested on charges of attempting to kidnap a child. Local law enforcement detained the suspect, who had previously been charged with 13 offenses, including rape, assault, and aggravated battery with a weapon.

This was reported by a source from the law enforcement agencies, adding that the police received a complaint from a 12-year-old girl's babysitter about the harassment of the child in the Khanouville area of the Deheyle police precinct.

"Circumstances surrounding the appearance of a video about the attempt to kidnap the child in one of the quiet areas were uncovered," the source said in the law enforcement agencies.

According to the complaint from the mother with the surveillance camera, Egyptian law enforcement agencies detained an unemployed person with a criminal past on charges of attempting to kidnap a child in the Alexandria governorate.
