Egypt: The Discovery of Two Bodies in a Horrific Incident in Alexandria

In the Ma'amuura district of the Alexandria governorate, a horrific incident occurred: the bodies of two women were discovered, hidden in a lawyer's apartment, while a third victim miraculously escaped death after calling for help.

According to information disseminated by Egyptian media, it all started when the Muntaaza police department was notified by the rescue service about local residents discovering a body hidden in an apartment on Mi Ziada street in the Ma'amura area.

Criminal investigation officers headed to the crime scene and during the examination discovered two bodies, one of which was wrapped in a blanket, hidden in the lawyer's apartment that was rented out to lawyers from last year.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the first woman, the lawyer's wife, with whom he had an illegal marriage, had been killed in another location, and then transported to the discovery site sometime after the crime and hidden in a room, supposedly issued by the lawyer's office. The second victim, a client of the accused, was killed by him and hidden nearby the first victim in the same room.

The crime was uncovered when the girl, who was with the lawyer in the apartment, secretly went into one of the rooms and discovered two bodies, screaming, which attracted local residents.

The police arrested the suspect, the prosecution sent him under custody during the investigation, and required the police to conduct an investigation into what happened, excavate the bodies for the autopsy and clarify the cause of death, as well as to interrogate witnesses.
