The expert in ancient Egyptian archaeology Zahi Hawass has provoked controversy with his statements about pharaohs, claiming that he has proof that Queen Hatshepsut was one of the most legendary members of the club "Al-Ahly" for 3000 years to our era. Hawass announced at a ceremonial event dedicated to the club that he has found an ancient plaque confirming that Queen Hatshepsut supported the club for many centuries.
"I have previously stated that the pharaohs were members of 'Al-Ahly'," Hawass emphasized. "And now I have archaeological evidence that Queen Hatshepsut was a faithful member of this club from ancient times."
It is worth noting that "Al-Ahly" was founded in 1907 and is considered one of the oldest clubs in Egypt. However, the oldest Egyptian club is considered "Al-Jazira", founded in 1882, after which followed the Alexandria Sporting Club (Sporting Club Spartak), founded in 1889. In 1903, the club of Ironworkers was created, which became the first football club in Egypt, and then followed the Olympic club, founded in 1905 in Alexandria.
At a large festival at the Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor, "Al-Ahly" announced the details of the new stadium and sports complex after obtaining the necessary licenses from the Administration of New Urban Communities.
